I am 42 years old and in the best shape of my life...now, but it has been a journey to get here.

 

Flash back to 2015, I was newly single and moved into a second story apartment with no elevator. It was a horrifying realization that I could not climb that flight of stairs without winding myself. How had I gotten this way!? I could admit I had not felt good in my body for years, but I still could not admit

how far I had changed since my early 20's.

 

It took a few more months before I really 'saw' myself. I did not let many pictures get taken of me because of how I felt about myself. Until there was one particular photo taken at a Christmas gathering where I barely even recognized myself.

That was IT, I was ready to do something!

 

I started my journey with an overhaul of what I was eating. It was a lot of mental work to realize I had been eating my feelings. Everything that happened in my life, good or bad, was an excuse to eat and drink whatever I wanted.

 

I lost over 40lbs just through my change in nutrition, and while doing so I took the time to learn about food. The old adage of “we are what we eat”

could not be more true!

 

Now came the time to start incorporating movement into my journey. I got a gym membership! The gym had always been THE LAST place I ever wanted to be. But I had a goal and nothing was going to stop me! I continued to eat well and exercise, and overall lost more than 65lbs. I had hit my

original goal of getting down to 145lbs.

 

One day I realized that I had gone from hating the gym to considering it the highlight of my day. Seeing how we can make change for ourselves through hard work and determination fired me up. My body felt amazing!

I didn't hurt anymore, in fact, I could do things most people couldn't.

 

The gym was such an inspiring and positive place that I decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer. It was a big decision to leave desk job work to be a full time CPT.

I have been Certified since 2019 and helping inspire others in their

Through my own journey I have come to understand that Health & Fitness is an ever changing Lifestyle...a Work In Progress!

 

Who has tried a diet in the past, hit their goal and then gained back all they had lost?​

Maybe we get a new job and the schedule changes and messes up our routine. 

Something bad happens and we find ourselves struggling mentally with it.

​

Let's face it, adulting is tough!

​

WIP Lifestyle is about creating a Health & Fitness Lifestyle through goals, building healthy habits

and learning to adapt through life's changes.
